Scent Detection Workshop with Kat Janczur

May 18, 2024 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
With Kat Janczur of K9 Behaviour Consultancy (1)

This Scent Detection Workshop is designed to accommodate dogs of all proficiency levels, from those newly introduced to scent detection to seasoned professionals.
For beginners, the emphasis will be on foundational skills such as honing their natural olfactory capabilities, enhancing motivation, and initiating indication training. For dogs with prior experience, the program will be tailored to meet the specific needs of each dog-handler team.
This approach ensures a personalised training experience that addresses the unique challenges and objectives of participants at varying stages of proficiency.

One of the key advantages of this workshop is its suitability for dogs with fearful or reactive tendencies. As training sessions are conducted on an individual basis, this environment provides an stress-free setting for all dogs to learn and progress at their own pace.

Participants are kindly reminded that dogs are to remain in their vehicles between sessions to ensure the safety and comfort of all workshop attendees.
