Scent Detection CPD for Instructors with Kat Janczur

Trainer CPD workshops are geared towards scent detection instructors who would like to deepen their understanding of detection and improve their teaching skills.
Each participant can decide on what skill or issue they would like to focus. We will be discussing theory and putting it into practice for best results.

The training venue boasts an array of different search areas, from farm buildings and fields, to streams and woodland to push your understanding of scent detection to the next level.
The Instructor
Kat holds a master’s degree in Psychology and Applied Animal Behaviour, a COAPE diploma, and is a certified APDT trainer. Her experience includes working with Scent Imprint for Dogs in Holland, where she trained detection and tracking dogs and taught Instructor courses. Upon relocating to the UK, Kat served as a Head Coach and Coach Trainer for Dogs Trust. In 2018, she worked for Dog Detectives on a FREDDS (free running explosives detection dogs) project.
Through her K9 Behaviour Consultancy, she provides canine behaviour, detection and gp training and puppy development advice to numerous police forces , military and uk government departments.
In 2022 Kat has developed and delivered bespoke online webinars for the Norwegian’s People Aids instructors.
Kat also has the only operational Japanese knotweed detection dogs in the UK which are deployed nationwide.
