SUMMARY:Socialising Collies the Right Way Webinar
DESCRIPTION:There is so much on social media\, books and training resources about socialisation and I feel like I need to do a webinar on what I have learned in 18 years owning collies and 12 years working with dogs.\nDogs are dogs\, but some have breed traits that make it possible to have slightly different socialisation plans to avoid some traits to come out. Understanding how the breed was created and in what kind of environment helps us understand how important it is to introduce a puppy to the urban environment in a certain way to avoid them starting to stalk traffic\, react to dogs and people\, bark and chase birds or other wildlife. \nIn this webinar we will discuss the most important tips on how to socialise a new puppy and how what do or to avoid in the first couple of months of their life with you!

SUMMARY:Confidence Building for Collies Webinar
DESCRIPTION:It’s important that your dog has confidence in you but it’s also important that your dog feels self confident in order to help them navigate their social life and the world we have build around them.\nA dog that lacks of confidence will have fear responses and will struggle also to recover quickly from bad days. SUMMARY:Hoopers Foundation Class
DESCRIPTION:Hoopers is a great sport\, easy to teach and cheap to assemble to practice in the your garden! \nThis 8 week course we are going to start from the very beginning of hoopers training\, working on your dog motivation to drive away from you and learn the value for the equipment: hoops\, tunnel and tango mat. \nWe will build up your skills to run small courses and maybe even to submit your CHW Achievement Award Level 1!\nYour dog needs to be: \nWe might be working two or three dogs at the same times\, although we will try to manage space and interaction\, dogs MUST BE friendly or at least NOT REACTIVE or AGGRESSIVE to other dogs. \nIf you are not sure your dog will run up to other dogs instead of working with you\, get in touch first to discuss. You can use a long line at the beginning of the class but when we start adding more obstacles together dogs will have to be working off lead. \nYour dog can be food or toy motivated\, better if both! \nStarting on the 6th of April at 9.30 \nLocation\, my training field CW47LN

SUMMARY:Pattern Games: the power of predictable repetitions WEBINAR
DESCRIPTION:Patter Games\, making training predictable for your reactive dog \nWhat are pattern games? They are a great invention for the dog training world: a chain of simple behaviours that repeat over and over again\, without asking the dog any performance. \nThey are easy for the dogs and easy for the handler and this is why they are so powerful! \nDogs that are fearful\, excitable\, frustrated and anxious will find the repetitive pattern of these games comforting\, predictable and rewarding. Especially a breed like Border Collies that love repetitive behaviours! \nJoin me on this webinar to learn more about pattern games\, especially the ones I use in my Border Collie programs to help with reactivity and movements sensitivity! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:LAT: to transform your dog from a reactor to a reporter WEBINAR
DESCRIPTION:What Leslie says about LAT is that is a way to make your dog a reporter. \nThrough LAT training we can teach your dog to offer disengagement from things that in the environment would make them react instead. \nBig negative or out of control emotions make your dog loose control and the behaviour that comes out normally is nothing that makes your life and your walks easy. Through the Look At That Game we can change that\, teaching your dog to control those big emotions\, being in charge of telling you that something is bothering them and then start a conversation with you about it. Yes\, a conversation\, made of small details and subtle behaviours\, not big shouts and anger. \nThis webinar will teach your what is LAT\, how to start teaching it\, where and how we can apply it and also different ways to use your reinforcements to make LAT a training tool that fits every dog in every situation. \nThank here will be videos to show you how LAT works and how we can teach it and use it in different situations and especially we will be looking at how this exercise will help with collie related behaviours and obsessions.

SUMMARY:Impulse Control Class
DESCRIPTION:After the success of my online 5 days challenge about impulse control I’m running a 6 weeks class face to face! \nOnly 4 dogs per class. Due to the high intensity of some exercises and the possibility of having to work in the polytunnel the class is not suitable for dog or people reactive dogs as it would be too much for them. \nWho is the class for?\nDogs with movement sensitivity\, struggling to restrain themselves from chasing wildlife\, other dogs running\, bikes and joggers. \nWe will work on impulse control exercises using food and toy\, teaching your dog to offer a calmer response when things get exciting around them! \nYour dog need to be keen on a toy and food and being able to work and accept rewards around other dogs. \nThe class will run for 6 weeks.\nStarting on the 17th of October!
