Learn the power of repetition used to build focus\, confidence and predictabilityPattern games can help in a variety of context: for reactive dogs\, for recall training\, to manage excitement\, improve focus or in the sport environment.\nThis workshops will teach you 4 pattern games to take home and use and we will discuss how to apply them in to your everyday life and routine!\nWhat are pattern games you ask? They are an easy chain of two or three behaviours that dogs will learn to repeat in order to get easy treats! They teach you a new conversation with your dog!\nOnly 6 handler space3 hour workshopLocation our working farm in Over Wyresdale\, Lancashire (directions will be sent to you closer to the workshop date)Dogs needs to be able to be in the car waiting their turn while other dog

SUMMARY:Training Your Dog Around Livestock
DESCRIPTION:As a specialist trainer for a breed that is bred to chase sheep I feel there is a gap in the industry when it comes to safely instruct owners how to avoid your dog to become a chaser!\n ⁃ Are you worried your dog is going to drag you everywhere when walking near sheep?\n ⁃ Do you feel like your recall is not strong enough when distractions are present and especially when sheep and cows are grazing?\n ⁃ Are you asking yourself if you are going to be able to handle your young collie around stock once you want to enjoy walking on the moors?\n ⁃ Do you want to make sure to cover all possible scenario and know how to avoid your Border Collie to become a chaser?\n ⁃ Would you like gentle exposure to sheep to allow you training your Border Collie to ignore\, come back when called and walk nicely on the lead past sheep?\n\nIf you have a puppy or a young dog and you want to make sure you cover all the basics and take them on a walk on moors and farmland without the stress of your dog pulling your everywhere or yanking on the lead as they can see sheep or other animals and also having the chance to practise recall when sheep are present\, keep reading!!!!!\n\nI’mm going to offer you a training day where you can be exposed to the right tools and training plan and show you how to teach your dog to:\n ⁃ have a fast recall even if movement is involved\n ⁃ having a good down at distance so you can stop your dog if needed\n ⁃ being able to ignore sheep grazing so you can walk past them without your dog going crazy\n ⁃ what is impulse control and how can we train it using tools easily available to us\n ⁃ how to channel prey drive on to us instead of the environment\n ⁃ welfare of sheep and other live stock\n ⁃ how to make sure your dog is satisfied and their needs are met\, so they can be happy even if they don’t work sheep all day And guess what?\n\nWe will be training around REAL SHEEP! A nice friendly flock of old ram and possibly some more lively ewes will be helping us to put the training into practise.\n\nPLEASE BE AWARE: This is NOT a rehabilitation workshop for dogs that have chased already or bit sheep or other livestock. Although I’m happy to have you and your dog in this workshop to understand better what you can do to avoid it from happening again\, your dog will not learn to be off lead around sheep during this training day. It’s all about safety\, understanding of both dog and stock welfare and giving you the chance of training around sheep that won’t just disappear as soon as they see your dog.\n**DOGS WILL BE ASSESSED AND WORKED ONE AT THE TIME\, WHILE THEY ARE NOT WORKING THEY HAVE TO BE ABLE TO REST IN THE CAR**\n**YOUR BOOKING IS NON REFUNDABLE**

SUMMARY:Training Your Dog Around Livestock Workshop
It’s all about safety\, understanding of both dog and stock welfare and giving you the chance of training around sheep that won’t just disappear as soon as they see your dog.\n\n**DOGS WILL BE ASSESSED AND WORKED ONE AT THE TIME\, WHILE THEY ARE NOT WORKING THEY HAVE TO BE ABLE TO REST IN THE CAR**\n**YOUR BOOKING IS NON REFUNDABLE**

SUMMARY:Socialising Collies the Right Way Webinar
DESCRIPTION:There is so much on social media\, books and training resources about socialisation and I feel like I need to do a webinar on what I have learned in 18 years owning collies and 12 years working with dogs.\nDogs are dogs\, but some have breed traits that make it possible to have slightly different socialisation plans to avoid some traits to come out. Understanding how the breed was created and in what kind of environment helps us understand how important it is to introduce a puppy to the urban environment in a certain way to avoid them starting to stalk traffic\, react to dogs and people\, bark and chase birds or other wildlife. \nIn this webinar we will discuss the most important tips on how to socialise a new puppy and how what do or to avoid in the first couple of months of their life with you!

SUMMARY:Confidence Building for Collies Webinar
DESCRIPTION:It’s important that your dog has confidence in you but it’s also important that your dog feels self confident in order to help them navigate their social life and the world we have build around them.\nA dog that lacks of confidence will have fear responses and will struggle also to recover quickly from bad days. Sometimes confidence is a genetic predisposition\, but you can do so much to empower your dog\, give them the confidence they are lacking to function around situations where normally they wouldn’t function and give them tools that come through you to be able to recover quickly if something scary happens. \nIn this webinar we will discuss what positive tools you can use to build confidence\, what games you can play at home and on a walk to boost confidence and how to support your dog making them feel they can conquer their fear and dear to be happy and resilient!
